Dear colleagues and friends,

I am proud to preside the European Federation of Sexology (EFS) for the third time. It was in 1988, under the impulse of Willy Pasini (who founded with George Abraham the Geneva School of Sexology in the early 70, that a group of european sexologists leaders decided to found the EFS, a regional society of WAS, with the following aims.

Robert PORTO

Objectives

- To be the link between the different associations working in the field of sexology in Europe,
- To encourage, by any mean, the development of teaching in sexology,
- To arouse sexological research plans in Europe,
- To incite the organization of scientific congress in sexology and to contribute with societies which have the same objectives.

EFS raised very fast the interest of numerous scientific associations and ranks nowadays among its members 60 societies belonging to 20 european countries.

The Official Journal of the EFS

SEXOLOGIES is the first bilingual and multi-field European journal of sexology. Founded in 1991, it quarterly publishes as well articles about fundamental anatomo-physiological research as documents about the psycho-dynamic or cognitivo-behavioural and relationship problems assessment, as on the clinical pharmacology – in particular on the new sexo-active molecules – as reports on great specialized congresses, a press review and a book review, a column on ethical questions, a schedule of various congresses of sexology.
