EFS HISTORY

In 1988 a group of European sexologists decided to found the European Federation of Sexology, which now has over 50 active societies and individual members. The Federation includes also Turkey and Israel. The EFS Executive Committee is elected for a period of 4 years. The current board was elected on 10 May 2018 during the EFS congress in Albufeira and will be on duty for the period 2018-2022.

EFS publishes Sexologies: Revue Européenne de Santé Sexuelle / European Journal of Sexual Health. The journal, created in 1992, is a continuation of the French academic teachings of Sexology (since 1883) and is published with scientific cooperation of the Inter University Hospital association of Sexology (AIHUS).
